It didnt cost me $500 i was just playin. With all the materials needed it cost me about $10

and machinehead if done right then your trunk should be fine even with a system. They way i did it, my trunk doesnt even sit higher then it used it. When closed you cant even tell and even when i open it you cant really tell that its inverted. I might take some pics of the hinges later this week. Im going to have a system in mine hopefully by the end of this year. I know a few other people that have this flip-flop trunk and they have full systems and i havent heard them complain about the trunk ratting. I might write a tutorial on how to do this mod whenever i get a chance too.

funny, it reads like it took you $500 to do, and just playing around with the material took you $10. English much? Anyway, what about the tail lights, did you do those yourself? Let me know!

Yeh i did the taillights myself with the help of a friend. I probably used the same tutorial you are talking about, and i think it helped me out alot. I used a heat gun and i personally think it is a little safer and easier to do with the heat gun since u are directing where the heat goes and when to stop using the heat and to check. The thing about using the oven is that if you dont put it on the right temp or for too long u can really mess up ur taillights.

I guess some people cant read what i wrote. I wrote "This cost me roughly around $500 to do....just playin with all the materials it cost me about $10."

You guys think im that crazy to pay $500 for this mod??
4thGenReady2Go- I did my taillights in 2 days. I just took it easy because you cant rush a process like this. People have done this in 1 day but i guess im extra careful. If you have any questions about it just PM me.
somebody already on this board did that to there trunk and put it back to regular :dunno: why though :gives:

yeh and....i can always leave mine at stock if i dont want to invert it. I dont even have to change anything to put it back to stock, my custom hinges now allow me to do that.

did you use http://www.lasalle.edu/~garofom1/wri...hgentails.html ?

See, his example car is white like mine, and the spoiler is non-oem (minus LED), so I get a good idea of how it looks. I think it looks nice, but I'm still thinking about putting altezzas in instead, not sure.
