how fast can the prelude be?
i'm interested in buying a 93-95 Prelude VTEC (190 hp, 158 ft-lbs torque) with a curb weight of around 2866 lbs...and working on it.
what have other people done to preludes to make them around 12 seconds?...maybe better?
and how much do you think it costs (roughly)?
thanks

most ppl who have ludes aren't rich enough to do that to there cars
sorry if i offended anyone but i see more money go in to civics then i do in preludes. its tough to really say how fast our preludes will go untill someone here is willing to spend some cash on there car *cough* Someone who happens to have a project car sitting in the garage waiting for a new engine and other goodies. :-D
oh yeah to answer ur question. there are a bunch of ludes running 13s and what not 12s a few and i think there was a 4th gen running 11s up in canada.

probably spent well over $8000 to get it there. would have spent more if i didnt do all the work myself.

What WHP was your prelude putting out?

Did you have to do a lot of engine reinforcing at the boost level you ran for that 12
my friend had a 4th gen that had 450 whp. i know people will call it bs but people who are really into racing probably know him. he hangs around with ed bergenholtz and seve leone etc. he had a toally built h23 vtec with a turbo and it was street legal. he doesn't really do 1/4 mi runs because he can't put the power down but he did alot of scca racing.

no ones business but my own, really.
not really... not as much as some people do. i chose to run proper fuel management instead of building a block that can withstand detonation.
