How about the Pirelli P7000 SUPERSPORT, does anybody know anythign about these tires? I am looking for something in the 100 dollar range with good performance, however, want least road noise. I don't want it to be quiet for the first 10000 miles, then start being loud after...like my toyo proxies now, they suck.
You can't have it both ways. All-Season tires are not that great in the snow and are just decent in the dry. I personally like Pirellis, they would be a good bet if you don't push the car too hard. Most tires get noisy after 10,000 miles but Pirellis don't roar or scream like Yoko A520s of BS RE730s do. It's sort of like a dull white noise instead.
Go for 'em!

I just went through this with my car. Replaced the original Bridgestone RE92's with Yokahama AVS dB S's. These are rated quite highly by tirerack.com. I was thinking about getting the Pirelli Supersport P7000, but they were out of stock and many people commented that they were quite NOISEY. The Yokahama's are all season radials but are a little different size than the original equipment. They are 205/55 x 16 W speed rated, instead of 205/50 x 16 V speed rated.
I've had the tires on the car now for a couple of weeks and I'm very happy with them. They are quiet, there is virtually NO road noise at all anymore and the ride is great, I feel like I'm riding on 4 pillows. At the same time the steering response and accuracy are better than before and I'm sure the overall handling is better than with the Bridgestones. These are just under $100 a piece from tirerack. There were only compliments and no complaints listed in the users review portion of tirerack.
These tires are supposed to be very good in the rain also.
My general comments would be: ride and quiteness much beter than the original tires, steering response is better, overall handling at least as good (haven't really pushed the car so far), superior traction and braking in the rain. High speed dtability is much better than the original eqipment tires too. I drove 80 mph on the interstate and it feels like I'm riding on rails, 80 mph used to feel like a just comfortable crusing speed for the Prelude. Now it feels too slow.
Only down side is that they are not availabel in the original 205/50 x 16 size.

The Bridgestone RE92's are worthless. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Yokohama AVS ES100's are my next set of tires, also i've heard good things about Dunlop Sport 8000's.
the all weather stipulation kinda changes things: i recommend the dunlop sport 5000s, yoko avs db, or bridgey RE 910s...
