I think the Prelude will be back but I've been told it may not be til 2007ish (most likely due to the amount of time it takes to develop a totally new car) and it's easiest with the RX, Z car, and Supra coming back to just slap the Prelude back on there.

for sure though, Honda has become a more boring company since the Prelude left us. And I say that with the deepest appreciation for Honda, and I will never buy anything other than a Honda (except a Ferrari if I can afford one, or maybe a 350Z... but let's get back to reality here). Anyway, I'm tired of seeing all these $hitty 2001+ civics bouncing around with their crap struts and stupid flat rear floorboards. Mostly I'm tired of seeing a company cater more and more to shareholders than to the driver, the passenger, or the family. While I'm sure the Civic Type R will be a welcome sight when it arrives in north america, Honda still lacks it's sporty, beefy looking coupe. While the latest coupe offers a helluva lot more power than the 5th gen did, I would love to see a Prelude come out in a few years which answers ALL the wishes and desires of Honda fans, and even the doubtfuls. Possibly a V6, but definitely a lot of power, double wishbones, back AND front
(it had to be said), and maybe even RWD. Hell, I think 4WS should be reintroduced, but that's just me. I'll get off the soapbox now, but yeah, let's bring the Prelude back.

no, what he said was that they are "TRYING" to replace it with the accord coupe. I think in time Honda will notice the void of a car bearing the 'H' emblem, a car that is lighter than the accord coupe, even sportier looking, a more performance-oriented vehicle which would be able to compete with perhaps the RX-8, the WRX (forget the STi, that would be a pipe dream) and even perhaps, as stock, right from the dealer, the mustang (bear in mind that I think all mustangs are crap, and by no means am I suggesting even my 94 Si is worse than a stang, I meant in terms of horsepower). Seriously though, might as well hope for one, what are you losing? Besides, I think it's time that a Honda, other than the S2000, come with an LSD.

I seriously doubt that without the Prelude and with it's current lineup that I would buy another Honda. I love Hondas but more to the point the Prelude...everything else outside of the S2000 is boring. And I dont like the styling of the S2000
