Default Stock Stero

I was reseting my computer when I was throwing a code back about 5 months ago. To much my surprise, I don't have the code for my radio. I didn't mind since I could listen to my beautiful dc cat back, but now I am starting to miss my tunes. How do I take it out to get the number on the bottom without breaking my beautiful carbon fiber dash kit.

Before you did that, I would go to Honda and see if they have your radio code in their database. I've had my stereo reset, and I didn't know the code, but thankfully, honda had it in their database.

I don't think the number is on the bottom is it? Wouldn't that mean if someone stole your stereo, they'd have the code? The code should be with your valet key and that red key and all your paper work.

I called honda and they said it was not in their computer. And if you loose the code like a dumb A$$, you have to find the number on the bottom of the radio and call honda and they can give you the code. And yes if someone steals your stero they can turn it back on. Some hell of a anti-theft device huh!

Back to the original question:

How do you take the head unit out without breaking the dash?

all you gotta do is take your carbon fiber thing off. To do this, open up your glove box and reach around the back. I'm not sure if you need to unlatch the glovebox. When you reach around, you should be able to feel a tab that's located at the upper right corner of your carbon fiber panel. Push it and the corner should pop out. Then proceed to pull off the panel. Do this SLOWLY cause if you break that piece it's gonna cost you some $$$.

The other way to do it is to use a screwdriver and pry it off, but I don't recommend that. After you get it off, it should be straightforward(a few screws).

Call the dealership, and they will give you the code to your radio.
