Default hey guys help

Hi guys,please help both happen at the same time first the heat is gone and second its leaking coolant behind the engine around the top of oil filter area im know its not the hoses for sure.what is wrong.

heat could be teh cable problem. look infront of the firewall (right behind the motor) u'll see a coolant hose going in the firewall w/ a little lever on it and a cable going to the lever, when u turn the temperature knob to heat position, the cable pulls the lever and opens up the valve and that lets the hot coolant/water go in to ur heater core.

if it doesnt move when u turn the temp knob, then u have a broken/disconnected cable.

It has to be a coolant hose going from the back of the motor where teh coolant is leeking.

I check it is not the hose maybe its the coolant going inside the engine coming out

fix the leak then worry about the heat problem. you probably have a leaking heatercore inlet hose. if it leaks, then coolant isnt making it to the heatercore. then you get no hot air. fix the leak first

The leaks i see is not the hose,its behind the engine and above the oil filter area. What you think it is.

look like the leak come out behind the wall of the engine.the heat and leak happen at the same time.

you probably have a leaking heatercore inlet hose. if it leaks, then coolant isnt making it to the heatercore. then you get no hot air. fix the leak first
