i dont think you can take the sensor plug out, i think its 'melted' into the IACV (for lack of a better phrase).
you can block off the 2 holes w/ a thin metal plate, ive read about people doing that as well but thats way more of a h assle than i want to deal with. i bought one on ebay for 53$ to replace my bad one. heres a link to another auction that has them for 70$ + shipping -
