ok, this isnt my iacv, this is the fast idle valve.

nevermind. my neighbor has an h23 prelude. i borrowed his IACV and put it on mine, problem went away. i know what part i need now but it costs 180 at my discount!

same thing with mine if u plug the top hole idles fine

this is the part that i replaced and it fixed my surging idle:



it is located on the TB below your throttle cable. 2 x 12mm bolts holt it on, as well as a sensor and 2 coolant hoses

i havent paid anything for it. honda wants 250 for it, which is list. hondapartsunlimited.com wants 185 for it which is alot cheaper but still alot. check auto zone or your local parts store, they may have an aftermarket model thats cheaper.

that piece is located on the intake manifold not the throtttle body

i was trying to take that piece apart but i was afraid to break it..cuz the only way to inside that piece is to take the sensor plug out ...

i read that there is a way to bypass that iacv piece that sits on the manifold. does any1 kno how?
