noise around turns
So I wanted to get everyone’s advice, today I was driving to work and every time I went around a right hand turn at above 25 mph the car makes this rattling sound. It sounds like a chain is being drug on the ground , can someone tell me what this is.
Also recently sometimes when I start the car and go in reverse, once I press the brake to stop there is this sound coming from the rear brakes, but only in reverse.
All info will be greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly there is a CV Joint that makes a clicking noise when it goes out, usually when you turn corners. I have replaced CV joints in one of my old cars. The joint is covered by a boot that I believe is attached to the driveshaft. the boot has grease in it. Sometimes the boot will get torn, dry out, and burn up the joint. I believe it was like 150 to replace.
my two cents.

i spoke to the guy at the dealer he said that clicking on uturns would be a cv boot, but i told him it was a rattaling at high speed around corners, he then said that it could be the brake sensor. it's a 99 and i bought it with 50k on it it now has 112k and i have never even had the brakes done , i looked the other day and the pads looked ok.
Still sounds like the cv boot to me. The "brake sensor" is just a small piece of metal that touches the edge of the rotor when the pad is worn down to a certain point. It makes a grinding/screeching sound, it isnt pleasant, but unless your brake pad is loose, (which I'm sure its not or you would have other problems) there is no reason for it to click.
that many miles could mean you need brakes soon, you can always check to see if the "brake sensor" is touching when you take the tire off.

If you press on the brake pedal while going around turns does it go away? If it does then probably your break pads are wearing down and are rattling. By pressing on the pedal you will stop them from rattling. BUT, if it doesn't go away it could be the CV joint. Usually they click "very" noticebly while going around corners. A garage can check this by lifting the front wheels off the ground and with the engine running, put it in gear and let the front wheels turn. Then when you turn the steering wheel to "full" left and then right. You will hear the noise coming from the bad "left or right" CV joints if they are bad.
