ok well im still in the same position I was in when I first asked... nothing has helped I dont expect big gains off of this. But im working my way up there.. i dont have thousands of dollars to just go spend on a turbo kit or $900 mugen header.. But I want a good header that's not gonna have a high pitch sound. and is gonna be somewhat of a good gain for what I pay...unless you guys have a better idea on what to get instead of a header that's not gonna cost me over $500.. by the way I changed my username..

Go Greddy and make sure its ceramic coated. I almost forgot....Be sure to put a sticker on the window for that sure +15 Hp. That way you can push those 18's.

basically what people are saying is......SAVE YOUR MONEY

it's not worth it to buy something you are going to have to replace later.......unless you are just a ricer and want to say i have a header

there is not really an off the shelf header for the prelude that gives any significant gains......search for rmf and smsp.....i think you can actually get a mild rmf for about $850....but the smsp is upwards of $1150

and btw, the 18's and hurting your acceleration, braking, and handling.....

so pick one bling or performance...and go with it...if you decide bling then the stainless steal megan header on ebay will net you the same tiny gains as a dc or greddy

Ok, well I bought the car with the rims on them.. and I Plan to sell them to get some 17's.. Cause I rather go with gains.. I've heard Greddy are a good way to go if I were to get a header... Is there a better alternative other than to get a header, for gains? with under $600 price range?

I was thinking about getting a header then getting a Cat. exhaust..

My buddy got a DC Sports Header for a 98 lude. It sounded great actually. More of a high pitch noise once the V-Tec came on. Not so much of a power difference in gains though.
