Sounds to me like your pinion gear or starter shims are getting worn out could even be in a rare case your starter armature shaft is bent. all those would cause a wineing type sound and if the f22b 2.2l prelude setup is the same as h23a's setup then your starter is on top of your transmission. So those would be my bets. Goodluck man

Does it do it in all gears or only 5th??

Prob something on the primary drive side... input shaft bearing?? Check the fluid level... thought the damage may have already been done.
