i see what you're saying. i don't know enough about the internals to tell you the ansewr. i thought there was no differntial at all, the ATTS replaced it. i don't know. BUT, after reading various other threads, i'm pretty sure the block IS different, and that's why aftermarket adapter plates exist. all i'm saying is, do your research before you buy parts. just trying to do you a favor by giving you a heads-up.

Yea I know, and thanks for that. Im just getting at how everyone says it has an LSD, well no I dont believe there is, jsut like you say, the LSD everyone reffers to is the ATTS. The block may be differant because there is only two treaded holes where the ATTS bolts to but the half shaft support has three and I know for a fact mine doesnt have three. Im jsut getting thrown off by everyone saying it has a LSD. That leads me to think that it has ATTS and a LSD. But I do think your right about the block being differant. I couldnt find the thread about converting it to base. If you would happen to run across it it would be nice if you could point me in the right direction.

Thanks for those points in the right direction, I see how making a base a Sh would be really hard but I think it would be fairely easy to drop it. I went in assuming I could just replace it with the half shaft. Not the case. I just dont know why everyone says you must use a base tranny if they are no differant internally which they said. But thanks again for the links I appreciate it.
