RPM needle goes NUTS!!!
i was going to say that my h22a did the same damn thing. Tach bouncing all over the place car acting like it was missing all the time(sounded like the crazy frog most annoying thing) I Changed my ignitor and coil in my distrubitor wich helped out for about a week then it started doing it again. THen it would stall out and not crank back up. I orderd a whole distrbutor off of ebay for like 200 buck and i havent had a single problem out of it since. I would see if someone had a distributor that you could borrow for a couple of days to see if that was it.
I have a 91 Integra LS. I was driving to Sacramento in a hurry and I was driving my car pretty hard that day with the ac on. Then later that evening I was driving back going the speed limit and all of the sudden my car would jerk for a second like the engine was shutting off and then turn back on. I also noticed that the tach needle was bouncing from 3k to 6k and then to 0 with the engine cutting out. Finally the engine stalled so I pulled over and sat there for a while to check it out. I started the engine and it started fine but then the problem comes back after a few miles. I had some parts replaced recently such as the ignition coil, main relay, distributor gasket. I had the major service done at 90k. including new clutch and flywheel, timing belt, water pump. It has 100k now. I don't know what to do.

You may be better off just replacing the dizzy from a value perspective (as they usually come with the ignitor installed) but I can't say for sure which might be the problem.
Personally I would check all the connections under the dizzy cap to make sure they're nice and tight, Even though work was just done you might find that there is a lot of corrosion that needs to be cleaned off/machine screws that need replacing.
This is what happened. I filled my tank up with gas and as soon as I drove out of the gas station my car shut off. I restarted the car and the RPM needle was bouncing all over the place for a few seconds and then it was fine. A couple of days later i was driving on the highway when the needle started to act up. I pulled over in the shoulder and the car stalled out. Now my car does this everytime I drive it. I know it's a fuel problem but i don't know if it's just bad gas or something mechanical. I just changed the fuel filter yesterday and the O2 sensor last weekend. My dad said it could be electrical. I don't know? Can anybody help?
I posted a problem I had with a jumping tach and power loss in my turbo EG almost 2 years ago... Turns out it was a loose ground wire under the battery tray... I had pulled my hair out trying to figure it out. Luckily I had another EG to troubleshoot with, otherwise I would have spent tons of $$ to fix a loose ground wire.
