Definitely agree with that. I'm never selling my car. 1) I've put too much into it and it's not even fast yet. 2) I wouldn't get shit for it.

1. Put in neutral and slightly give it some gas (rev no higher than like 2 or 3K)

2. Depress brake as far as possible

3. Let off gas, go back to idle

4. Shift into 1 or D4 or whatever

5. Are you still holding down the break? Good.

6. Give it as much gas as you can while holding the break

7. When the guy drops his hands... err... I mean when the tree hits green give it full gas and release the break.

 jesus...whats with people and the fake ass wannabe manual shifting thingy? just get the real thing and learn, it aint that hard. i learned long ago, then taught my brother how to drive a stick in 10 minutes! my buddy has a 2000 eclipse gt with one of those stupid POS sport shifters and when i had my teg i had to constantly whip his ass at the track. he thinks he can own any car with that retarded invention, and im always telling him how dumb he is for believing that.
my final thought on people who use those sport shifters that wanna "race" with them, stop being such a dipsh!t and just get a manual and take 10 minutes to learn how to drive it!

while i agree that sportshift autos eat shit, some people just get the cars they get. doesn't mean they suck, or are lazy because their cars suck :P

wow....alot of people posted here... i dont know why i got a sport shift i didnt even know what it was but i can tell its kinda slow but not as slow as people think...i got a 15.4 on my 1/4 mile run and people were going crazy over it because it was stock...i was thinking of trading it in and get one with a manual if that would go way faster but if it only goes a little bit faster i dont know why i would need it....its not like im racing pro

cause the 97+ auto preludes had more than their share of problems... in fact i'd suggest them to be the worst honda tranmissions ever built, topping even the V6 automatic tranny's found in the tl/accord

there is a reason why they are being sold left and right and are all being sold for hundreds less than blue book and their manual counterparts

Vtec Actuation Point Is 5200 Rpm... Exactly. If Not You Need A Freakin Tune Up Or Something.

This thread was not to argue over +- 300 RPM. Find something relavant to talk about.

Even on a dyno chart, engagement is at like exactly 5247 or something like that...
