oye, just leave it in automatic mode, stock shift points are already optimised and as long as you arent starting from a roll it should upshift just fine, it just takes a while to notice when you want to downshift.

BUT since this is going to be on a 1/4 mile track as it should be or otherwise the thread will be closed just leave it in auto mode. and just a reminder, take it easy on that car the transmission has a tendancy to, well, be very very unreliable

What are you talking about? You don't have a choice, it's automatic. Basically hold the brake hard with your left foot and floor the gas with your right foot right before you want to go, don't do this for more than a few seconds it's not good for your transmission if you do it too long. When the light goes green take your foot off the brake and keep the gas floored. Let the automatic shift by itself.

just trany, prolly 3k if you don't do the work yourself. Motor and trany, 6k if you don't do the work.

more than if you just bought a manual prelude and sold this one. as the swap not only takes money directly out of your pocket but it completely kills the resale value of the car
