Aw man...help me out.
Hey guys, when I first got my Prelude, before it was even registered I took off the PRELUDE lettering from the rear bumper(5th gen). Well what I didn't know is that the paint faded underneath. If you look at it from anywhere closer than 10 or 15 feet, you can see PRELUDE written in the paint because of the fading. How could I go about covering this up? If anyone could list some steps of what to do, I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Go to hondaautomotiveparts.com, click your model, year, etc. Scroll down to emblems and it's this
33198 #009 1 STICKER, RR. NO COLOR 71.26 $53.44
You could tape off the entire bumper bumper except the letters PRELUDE and over time the the colors will even out. It'll only take a few years.
Just Playin'.
Your only option might be re-painting. That is some what of a common problem. People remove the badge and are like.......bad idea. Good Luck though.

You can take it to a body shop and have them buff it out. There are compounds that should remove the glue that remains. Another thing-the area under the lettering did NOT fade-the rest of the car did. If you want a cheap possible solution try Meguiar's Swirl remover before going to the detailer. I use this stuff all the time-really does wonders. Just don't rub superhard.
