if none of these intakes outperform any other's like y'all say and engineering has nothing to do with anything, i wanna see you guys get a sock and a filter, and a V2, and then dyno both of them to settle this once and for all. you're sayin AEM's full of shit for saying the intake's do work, but u dont have any proof backing up your claims that they dont work. they've at least got dyno charts, all you have is hatin attitudes...i dunno what intakes do on H22's but on my accord i definately noticed a difference after i installed the V2...then i added a dc header, i already had a GReddy exhaust...the car has a noticible power difference from a stock accord, throttle response is a whole hell of alot better too...the car just runs better, and it's quicker

wat im saying is the K+N and stock intake tube is a better value
plastic doesnt conduct heat like alluminum
race your accord around all u want chompy but dont bite off more than u can chew with ur f22

i dunno, but i got my $ on the h22,
my claim was based on the fact that i had dyno tuned my R w/ the AEM cai and then swapped it for the comptehc icebox, the ice box did make more hp/tq than the cai
and a friend's R after he took of the AEM cai and put it back to stock, the car made 1 less hp but 3 ft-lb tq MORE
so thats MY claim
im not saying AEM is ALL hype, its just that its MOSTLY hype
you dont need to spend 200+ dollars for an intake
btw the comptech icebox+ intake/filter kit cost 340 shipped, so im not biased as well,
i bought it cause i liked the way it looked and no more worrying about water

maybe if i raced u with my snowtires on ud have a chance after i overheated em lol
but with the azenis i had on last summer ud be toast in any situation
ur accord runs 17 seconds on a good day and thats including ur bolt ons
ive spent some time at the track at beaver run and fact is that what u said isnt pertinent to your argument since it would be hard to chart gains from an intake on a course instead of a dyno or 1/4 mile, both of which i have experience with.
besides i wasnt talking about your accord's stock intake anyway, prelude stock intakes are far superior to a single cam accord

A AEM short intake can be found on Ebay for $91+shipping ($15?) .. i don't think that's expensive .. now the cold air and the V2 are very expensive even on Ebay .. and i have no idea if they're that better ,, even if it does give you more power ,,, it will be no more than 1 extra HP .. +$150 for 1HP?? .. hummm .. i just don't think short AEM intakes are expensive ,,, maybe they're so so cheap because nobody wants them .. LOL while they are maybe the same crap ...
