That's not the point..... I just wanted to clearify that there is no TSX-S and there is no 4 cylinder Honda makes for the US with more power than the S2K.
but there is the b20vtec which is the ultimate motor if you ask me. proves that DOHC VTEC is still better than iVTEC for raw power (2L vs 2L)...but this is gonna turn into a war now.
i have a video to back this up, although there is no direct comparison between iVTEC and DOHC VTEC, but the b20vtec takes down the s2000.
of course the b20vtec isnt a production car motor soooooo...flame away.

That's why I specified
I knew if I generalized, the proverbial can of worms would be released.

After 2 1/2 years on HAN, I've learned how to stay out of trouble

I will say this tho, i think the h22a has a much better midrange and top end horsepower, so you should pull on him after 2nd gear.
I was very surprised with how easily i pulled on that car, also i see now MSN Autos shows a 16.7@87.3 quarter mile test result, that would make sense since i was burning the guy hardcore by 90.

there's no such thing as a TSX-S...and the hp ratings on the engines is about the same if the TSX isn't more. and the difference between the K24 in the TSX and the one in the accord is mostly higher compression and a better flowing exhaust.

im pretty sure a 40 hp increase takes a little fuel curve and ECU tweaking a little bit

h22 > k24
k20a > h22
im sure they NEED a higher flowing exhaust to move 40HP worth of extra exhaust gas...

As to the guy who said that after a dyno the S2000 only has 200-210 horsepower. It's called drive train loss, generally 20% for 2wd but 30% for AWD (I shouldnt have to explain why) Thats why a factory 200 horsepower Lude is only putting down about 165 to the wheels and a 160 hp civic Si only sees just over 130 at the wheels. Crank horse is a differant thing than wheel horse. Car companys always advertise the crank horse because it is higher.

Which goes back even to the days of SAE net vs. SAE gross...... think about the fact it was a common thing to see hp ratings over 400 hp before 1973.
I think they should go the step further today and force all mfgs. to rate the hp applied to the drive wheels, after net and drivetrain lost.
i dont know if that will ever happen
but ill tell u what there is almost no way of telling what an engine is actually making at the crank unless u are the manufacturer. Look at the hyundai scandal a year or 2 ago. I know someone with a tiburon who got a letter from hyundai saying they overated HP figures for that car and offering an extended warranty and service as compensation. regardless of how much WHP a car makes, since most manfacturers rate vehicles by Crank HP its a level playing field.
A stock scooby makes around 160 at the Wheels and they start off with 227 at the crank. Which is why a stock prelude vtec can edge out a WRX from any roll above 5 MPH.
