Crank horse is a differant thing than wheel horse. Car companys always advertise the crank horse because it is higher.
Which goes back even to the days of SAE net vs. SAE gross...... think about the fact it was a common thing to see hp ratings over 400 hp before 1973.
I think they should go the step further today and force all mfgs. to rate the hp applied to the drive wheels, after net and drivetrain lost.
