Engine Problem please help!!!
I own a 98 Lude Type SH It has about 80K miles on it. This problem is kind of hard to explain, but I will do my best. The problem I have is when I accelerate fast and try to get to redline the engine will jerk (it sounds like the engine is revving as far as it can, like if you accelerate to the fuel cutoff) at about 6,700-6,900 RPM. At first I thought maybe the fuel was being cut off at this RPM, but if I keep accelerating it will jerk a couple times and then keep going to redline. It mostly happens in first and second gear and doesn't happen everytime, but most of the time. Also if I accelerate slow and go to red line, it doesn't jerk at all. There is no check engine light on or anything. Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea what it could be? Should I try resetting the ECU, if so, how? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks, after I posted I went out to reset the ECU, but for some reason decided to check the oil first, it was low, very low. I just got back from Checker and put about 3 quarts in (Valvoline Max Life), the engine hasn't jerked since and the last post reassured me that it must have been because of low oil. Thanks for the help and I am glad it wasn't something serious.
