Default why is my idle STILL fluctuating???

I performed the coolant bypass mod, and the idle air control mod on my car, and the idle still jumps from 1-2 grand when not accelerating. I have the plastic piece in the air control valve screwed all the way in, so it's as closed as it's going to get, yet there's still air coming through the lower port in the TB. the odd thing is, when I plug the top hole in the throttle body, the idle calms down, and acts as it should. Nowhere in the idle valve mod instructions does it say anything about cutting off the air to the top hole, but it seems as though that's what I need to do. any suggestions?? http://www.92lude.com/perfmods.htm there's a link to both mods....

well that sounds like a dif problem
100-1000 sounds more serious than 1000-2000
why dont you try changing the IAC valve totally instead of modding it i think the mod is intended to cool off the TB, which adds an alarming .5 HP.

see if u can get a used IAC valve off ebay or locally at a junkyard.

as far as cwood, are u getting mils? check your vacuum lines.

Actually, I fixed it. My idle adjustment screw was too loose, AND I had a faulty TB gasket. Also, my main reason to do the coolant bypass/iac mod was that my iacv was screwed up to begin with. But if I wanted to, i have the vlave off my other motor to throw on there if something in the mod acts up. Runs prefect for right now, though.
