Trouble with Reverse on 5th Gen Lude

Part # 12 is the drain bolt FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.
Part # 15 is the fill bolt FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.

It looks like this dude...

Refer to the Helms manual, page 13-3 (manual) or 14-122 (auto).
It makes me sick when people who don't know what they are talking about use the rolleyes smiley...
I've changed the tranny fluid quite a few times... if you need me to give you a write up, just let me know.
As for the reverse problem... yeah, I would change THE TRANNY FLUID for starters.. it's cheap and quick.
Worse case scenerio, you'll have to change the syncho... Honda actually has a TSB out there and they actually recommend changing the shift fork too since it is probably bent. I have the TSB scanned if you want it... (PM me). I'll probably be doing this myself on a spare tranny I've picked up.

ever miss 3rd bad ?? my friend did it in my car and then you get no reverse. my friends h22a hatch had the same problem i had honda fix my tranny when i got my engine rebuilt. they did all the tsb's. i hate the h22a tranny its so weak.

hello, im new here.... wassup... my 4thgen used to do it all the time in 3rd...and well alot of prelude owners that i know, and it's a crap load, have had problems w/ their synchros going bad... i just flushed the trany fluid and replaced it and it fixed it self.. reverse is a biatch toooo
