What are you talking about? Ever hear of Honda MTF or ATF? (Manual Transmission Fluid and Automatic Transmission Fluid).

Changing you tranny fluid is considered regular maintenance dude.

Part # 12 is the drain bolt FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.

Part # 15 is the fill bolt FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.

It looks like this dude...

Refer to the Helms manual, page 13-3 (manual) or 14-122 (auto).

It makes me sick when people who don't know what they are talking about use the rolleyes smiley...

I've changed the tranny fluid quite a few times... if you need me to give you a write up, just let me know.

As for the reverse problem... yeah, I would change THE TRANNY FLUID for starters.. it's cheap and quick.

Worse case scenerio, you'll have to change the syncho... Honda actually has a TSB out there and they actually recommend changing the shift fork too since it is probably bent. I have the TSB scanned if you want it... (PM me). I'll probably be doing this myself on a spare tranny I've picked up.

Actually the 5th gen Trannies are prone to grinding where 4th gens have less problems.
