Best header for h22a?
thanks alot ur a big help....ill prolly go with a stainless steel "rage" header....the flex pipe i just bolt on to the end of the header correct??? Ya im prolly gonna go to meineke to get 2.5" piping bent....i called em up today and they said it wud cost me about 200....does that seem right?? Im prolly gonna get either a flowmaster or borla muffer cuz those r pretty much the only good companies that make just mufflers without all the piping.
Ok basically to sum up i need the rage header with a flex pipe bolted on to the end of it....then the high flow cat(carsound, etc.)....then i need the 2.5" piping bent with a small resonator welded anywhere....and the muffler at the end... all that sound right???

with that setup i think 190 whp is very realistic. 210 whp with cams.

it is a lot harder to squeeze HP out of a stock h22a than most people think
with skunk2 stage2 cams, high flow cat, dc header, dc catback, aem cai, and VAFC tuned on the dyno you are lookin at about 190WHP best case scenario
i would be very suprised if an h22 could break 200whp with stock compression

not that there is anything wrong with that...
but it was the shit 5 years ago
a lot of dyno time has passed since then

i think the best numbers i've seen are 202 whp with CAI/SMSP/HF cat/exhaust/hondata.

Also can somebody describe the difference between vafc and hondata...including price, dynoing, difficulty, complexity, etc

if you dont know the software, do not try to tune it yourself.
ok so i have a bit of a prob...i went to meineke to see how much it wud cost me to get piping bent....it was too much so i decided to order the pre bent piping fit for a lude off the internet and then bring everything to them and have em put it all together....
only thing is they dont do headers and i cant put on the header, flex pipe, and cat because the outlet of the cat is gonna be 2.5" and that wont bolt up to the stock exhaust...and i want them to put on the exhaust piping cuz i dont have the materials to weld everything together....plus the rage header that im getting doesnt have a flex pipe on it and after i put one on its gonna be longer than the reg header and then it wont be able to bolt it up to the stock exhaust...so basically i have to install the header somehow then drive to meineke and have them finish the job
any ideas how this can be done??

i think it would be easier if u just bought a megan header for cheap, and then threw a catback system on it
meineke does a shitty job as far as im concerned.
u can drive there with open header but be wary of cops they can tell a loud muffler from an open header.

well i mean im gonna give em all the piping pre bent for a prelude....basically all they gotta do is weld the hangers on the piping, trim a little bit here and there and weld on the muffler....
ya really think i cud drive there jus with a header??? I thought it would be crazy loud
....I mean the place is like 10 blocks away at most and if i keep the revs below 2k i guess i could do it....I could always start it up and rev up to 2k and see how loud it is
p.s. is there any cat back exhaust system that comes with 2.5" piping so i dont have to do it custom???
