would this make a favorable diff?
Would removing the butterfly valves make a favorable difference on a turbo charged h22a1?

you can just remove the vaccuum line and leave them open all the time. That will give you the same effect as removing them without all the trouble.

I know I would lose some low end torque, I am hoping the mid power gained would make up for that. (if there is any gain) I guess I will just test it out.

not so. the butterflys and wrist pin cause intake turbulence.
in the case of forced induction, you'll increase intake efficiency by a significant margin by removing the setup.
for an NA motor, not much, but then again, not much counts for something.
