Default 17' or 18' Inch Rims ?

Sup fellas ... I just recently got a blue 2k1 Prelude SH. I was wondering, which size rims should i go with? 17's or 18's. Is there pros and cons of the two? What size is everyone rolling on and what gen prelude do you have?
Thanks.

well either one will work, depends what you like and want. i have 17's on my 4 gen. i would never go bigger than that personally just because of the extra weight and increased changes of rubbing. i'm sure there are a couple threads on this already though so you might want to check those out if you can find them.

With a 2001, I like the look of 18s. However, you may have more trouble with them, mainly because of the 35 series tires youd have to buy to fit the wheel well. If you live or drive on roads with any potholes, youre screwed. I have replaced a rim and sent another off to get the bends taken out of it. However, I put a lot of miles on mine. It is a longer car than the 4th gen, so the 18" rims set it off better than 17s would. But, thats just my opinion.

17's over 18's.

16's over 17's.

17's vs. 18's:
17's will be faster, brake better, handle better, not get damaged as easy, cheaper, cheaper to buy tires for, not so ridiculous looking, will not rub as much.

18's look tacky, especially with all of that clearance between the brake assembly and the wheel. If you're gonna go 18's go 18's for a reason...get the biggest F'in brakes you can find.

16's are superior to either because of even better accel, brake, cornering (depending on your tire choice) etc etc.

Thanks for the info. I think ima go with 17's. I wanna get those new Konig Freefall's, but on wheelsnext.com, it says they arent available for the Honda Prelude. But that cant be right.
