Default Got my 17 inch rims on now what kinda Drop?

I just put my 17 inch rims on with 205/40 tires. The look awesome but needs a drop. What kinda setup are you guys running on your civic with 17 inch rims and 205 tires, and are you happy with it and how much of a gap is there. I was gonna put a mugen lip on there so i want it lowish but not too low where i will hit. I will be also driving with caution too where i go. Any help would be greatful thank you

What year civic do you have? I think that the newer civics could handle a drop with bigger wheels better than the older models. If you have a 96+ than I think that you could get away with a 2-2.5" drop w/o problems.

i have a 98 civic ex. Im planning on doing struts too paying around 400 for full set up. I measured the diffrence on the fender well and there is a full 3 inchs from top of tire too top of fender, but this does not mean i want to drop it 3 inchs cuz im sure that would cause a problem for me to have no fender gap, so i want the fender gap minimal but still a nice daily driver, oh and i dont know if this matters or not . But i never have more than 2 people in the car at one time. Thank You

save the extra cash and get aftermarket struts. i couldn't suggest a setup for you b/c i stick to the accords mainly, but most of my friends with civics or integras are using skunk2 coilovers with koni reds. its a relatively stiff ride, but it performs and is height-adjustable.
