not calling you close minded ...

but lots of people are. most people who stand there and soapbox how guns are bad and dangerous have never even seen a gun in real life i'm willing to bet, aside from on the hip of a cop. all they know is what the TV and internet says

i have alot of friends who had never seen / held /shot a gun before ... anyone of them who wanted to i was always more than happy to take and introduce them to my favorite recreation and everyone of them has walked away with a different view, all of them have continued to go shooting with me whenever i allow them

yea thanks i know what straw purchases are

the point is now you arent a law abiding citizen you're a criminal you broke the law sooo again the only people who are going to be affected by the laws are law-abiding citizens.

You can't use comparisons like that because it makes you irrational.
It's not the admin card. You're being a complete douche now. You could have simply disagreed with my observation that you're being irrational.

I have no problems with you but from what I'm reading in every one of your gun posts, you fail to be reasonable on the other side of the argument.

And the next time you ask me for a favor, I won't think twice, I'll still help you. Stop being stupid now.

Well the problem with this whole thread is you all turned it partisan because a man got detained outside of an Obama rally by police officers of that region. Not the Secret Service sent to protect Obama but the police officers for that area. Partisan politics aside, I believe every citizen deserves the right to carry responsibly, it is up until the point they become irresponsible with a firearm I believe they should have all rights pertaining to the second amendment. I am more than willing to hear arguments as long as they are reasonable, which I believe both sides are trying to present their first hand experience and is reasonable in stating their opinions. Should it be the sole basis of law? No but it is noteworthy to point that bashing either side doesn't help your arguments h:

Honestly, I feel like I'm one of the people who are able to see both sides of the argument because I know plenty of people who are on that side personally. I may come off as strong in my beliefs of certain things but I have no issues seeing from the other side of the fence. Of course, I won't deny that I believe the grass is greener on this side. :chuckles:

I still am not sure how my comparing inanimate objects capable of causing serious injury or death with one another with the same capabilities is irrational.

irrational is the argument : ban all guns so noone can have them

... because we saw how well banning heroin and crack works ... noone has it and we did a awesome job banning porn for kids, lord knows i didnt see my first boobie till i was 18

the solution isn't banning the solution is education ...
