we all know the republicans have them and their friends in mind when it comes to the country. and the democrats have the people in mind. but yet the democrats cant agree on anything. and the republicans um... do. and get stuff done.

I concur. Both parties (and I am liberal) are controlled primarily by campaign money. Occasionally a rogue congressman will stand up for something or other, but it is rare.

I'm complaining because the proper measures were overlooked that could have prevented this close call. Why are we looking at liquids on flights now and not 10 years ago...or even after september 11th? Why isn't there a registry for individuals that purchase extreamly dangerous chemicals from chemical supply houses?

It never should have gotten this close. We caught them with just as much luck as they may have had at succeeding.
