Example: IL evening pick three numbers are 6 - 8 - 2
6+8+2 = 16 then you do 1 + 6 = 7
The winning number is 7. If we don't get a winning number that day, we roll it into the next day. Illinois evening pick three numbers are posted here: http://www.illinoislottery.com/numbers.htm
We poll the thread as to how many people are in. Once you commit, there's no backing out.
We then take the number of people that are in, and figure out the entry fee. Everyone gets 1 fair shot. If you trust me and Andrew enough, Andrew will write down your name on one side of paper. I'll pull them out of a hat. First name pulled = #1, Second name pulled = #2 & so on.

This is just a complete feeler idea, but ...
red foot raffle
- $5.05 per ticket (paypal 3% already calculated)
- 20 tickets available
- decide how many tickets you want, total it and add $.30. (paypal trans fee)
:dunno:
bleh, we'll talk about it later
h:
Like Monk said, March 17, stuff gets shipped to IL. About 1 week transit, around March 25, stuff gets sent to individuals.

I feel that we all should have an equal shot, no increasing your chances by buying more quantity of less expensive tickets.
Raffle = tickets, then someone has to stay out of the game.
We can run this like a number lottery the way I proposed. Everything will be fair and equal.

fact is, there are 2 more red foots out there. IF ...
both are gone, this might force Derry into making more ... or calling it quits and moving on.
one remains, this might go into Derry's personal collection ... or go on eBay and spark insane red foot interest.
and this assuming that the entire case is in flawless condition. I dunno what to say or do.

I'm sending out these bugs tomorrow Priority Mail (along with your tapes)
This contact I have for the Megatrons is a good seller (sold you the MP Prime for $135), but he's taking forever. He said he ran into personal problems, and promises to ship this week.
Megatron could be here tomorrow, or next Tuesday.
Monk & Hammy, I appologize for the delay.
Ok. For some reason I've been giving the lotto thing too much thought.
Here's my proposal:
1. We poll the frequent posters in this tread and find out how many people are in.
2. We divide the price of Red-Foot by the number of people that are in. Add in the usual PayPal fee bullshit. That will be the cost of your entry.
3. I will write the names of the people that are in on slips of paper. I will put them in a bag, and draw them randomly. First name pulled = #1, 2nd = #2, & so on. Andrew will watch me.
4. The day after numbers are assigned, we look at the illinois lottery evening pick three.
http://www.illinoislottery.com/numbers.htm
To calculate the winning number. We follow this mehod. If the numbers are:
6 -7 -8
We add the three numbers and get 21. We then add 2 + 1.
The winning number is 3.
5. If the no one matches the winning number for that day, the prize rolls over to the next day's evening pick three until we have a winner.
6. Winner to cover the shipping expense to their location.
Everyone has one fair shot. Everyone can participate (as long as you trust Andrew and I with the name pull).

I would rather like to know that we have all the Derry authorized Red-Foots ever created. He'll see that it's just our little group ordering them, so he won't think there's demand for them (nor will the bootlegger of the bootlegger). If one gets on E-bay, then the price will go through the roof and there will be more produced.
In a few years, when Derry no longer cares because the molds have been used up, we can sell them on the E-bay for big bucks.
