Oh the other hand, this 1994 twinturbo is really nice!

Lets get it back on track and talk about the Supra. Yes, the Supras were nice cars, but they were hella expensive. I don't know much much about the 2005 Supra rumors, but I hope they are true and the car is actually affordable.

YEAH~~ I am suspecting the same idea for Supra..... A 3.3L with VVTLi equiped..... producing about 275HP. (Cuz Toyota rarely would engage in HP war) together with Toyota's undeniable quality and ergonmics..... I am really eager to see what Toyota is going to offer....... I think it will be adjusted like Celica in marketing wise... setting up a very strong competition for Z.. Also, I am suspecting they would be offering the 4.3/4.5/5.0L engine for Supra........ Or leave that for the Lexus's supercar? ^_^

Three problems with that.
1. It may not be possible to do it at a reasonable price.
2. It would place the Supra in direct competition with the Corvette.
3. Purists may want to stick with a V-6 for nostalgia's sake.
Possible solutions to those problems.
1. Toyota's engineers are clever fellows. They MAY be able to figure out a way to manufacture a V-8 powered Supra with all the shared componentry they'd be using. How many Lexus and Toyota vehicles already use a version of the same V-8?
2. This is a tough one because it's more a matter of immage than substance. However, both Toyota and Honda have made HUGE gains in immage over the last ten years. I think they can pull it off.
3. Purists may want a V-6, but enthusiasts are more concerned with performance than nostalgia.
Obviously this is all speculation on my part, but supposedly this is the forum in which to do it. Oops! Didn't someone already get in trouble for that?
