Toyota Recalls 220,000 Highlander and Rav4 Models
Toyota Motor Corp. said it would recall more than 200,000 Highlander and RAV4 sport utility vehicles to fix a malfunction with the "check engine" light.
Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. said Wednesday its special service campaign involved 60,700 four-cylinder Highlander SUVs from the 2001-2003 model years and 159,100 RAV4s from the 2001-2002 model years.

What do you mean. I just posted an article about a recall to inform people who drive these vehicles to protect them if they vehicle has a defect. I do not post bias articles, if thats what you meant. I am posting with a new approach.
220,000 Vehicles is very significant. VW has a recall on the Passat but it only affects 60K Vehicles. Its for the 2006-7 VW Passats, problems with brakes and wipers.

Recalls are down for many car makers...
Toyota
2006: 876,948
2005: 2 million
Ford
2006: 2.2 million
2005: 6 million
GM
2006: 1.4 million
2005: 5 million
Honda is more reliable than Toyota, with barely a recall this year. The only recall was because "incorrect telephone number for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in nearly all of its 2006 and 2007 model owners' manuals."
2006: 1.2 million
2005: 15,000

*I am no longer angry at Toyota. My 96 Toyota Avalon still has almost everything the original stock so I should be happy with that. Except for the battery, tires, wipers, power steering fluid, oil, washer fluid and recently brake pads (disc are still good) - All had to be replaced, some more than once. Mechanics told me I am pretty lucky despite Toyota's drop in quality. Exhaust System was still in good shape while many other cars last for about 5 years. I think it because of low mileage, only 130K miles.

In the future, you may want to post Toyota recall news somewhere lots of Toyota owners congregate like toyotanation.com or tundrasolutions.com
Here are some other forums where you can provide your service:
VW: vwvortex.com
Nissan: freshalloy.com
Ford: blueovalnews.com
Subaru: i-club.com or nasioc.com
Saab: saabcentral.com
and if you do have Honda recall news (I know... Honda's don't have recalls. Just humor me here), consider posting it over at vtec.net. You'll reach more Honda owners that way.
