2007 Honda Fit: Honda's Luxury Econobox
Looks like a cheap tinny Kia or Suzuki on the outside. Havent seen the interior, but Hondas interiors are generally pretty attractive. 109hp? Uhh, no.
On the other hand, Honda does need it in their lineup, to attract Scion and cheap Korean car buyers. Unfortunately, this also means more rice on the streets. Grreeeat, just what we needed!

h:it'd be nice to have a more powerful motor in the fit, but that's what engine swaps are for. the target market for this car probably isn't speed freaks and enthusiasts. the choice of engine is about right for the segment, especially since it's not entirely certain how these cars will do in the states. if it's a runaway hit, maybe they'll consider a more powerful version in the future.

i'd like to see how the xB can even come close to the element in terms of utiltiy. has this guy even seen the element's interior? besides that, the element is way more powerful, AWD, bigger, and the styling couldn't be more different. the boxy micro vans have been pretty popular in japan for ages, so no one really copied anyone there.
same with the fit. you can't even begin to compare the xA and the fit in terms of utility. the sub-compact cars, whether they be hatch back, sedan, whatever, have also been very popular in japan and europe for ages. scions are not sold for the utility, they're sold for the image. the fit and element are meant to be very utilitarian.
yay for the uninformed. :reechy:
