it'd be nice to have a more powerful motor in the fit, but that's what engine swaps are for. the target market for this car probably isn't speed freaks and enthusiasts. the choice of engine is about right for the segment, especially since it's not entirely certain how these cars will do in the states. if it's a runaway hit, maybe they'll consider a more powerful version in the future.
I hate being the exception. I'm one of those consumers who would prefer to buy Mugen-esque Fit with a KA20 and LSD inside. Sometimes having needs against the flow really sucks.
