Hopefully in the near future this AWD technology will trickly down to Acura's other offerings. This could potentially solve the problem of so much horsepower and torque in their FWD vehicles. Hopefully the TL will be the next in line to get the SH-AWD.

Well, uh, it wouldn't be FWD, so I'd imagine it would.

If the size of the TL is any indication (it's about equal to a 5-series or E-class) then the RL will most likely be about the same size as the upcoming '05 Cadillac STS. Which is to say, about a half step smaller than a short-wheelbase 7-series or S-class.

I'm optimistic that, with the new TSX and TL out, Acura will crown the sedan lineup with a very nice new RL. (It's about time.) AWD? Great!

Now just missing a midsize coupe... this whole thing about spinning off Acura versions of the CR-V or upcoming truck or other talk ... bleh. :eek3:

yup, thats all acura's missing. bring back the CL!! this time, learn from your mistakes, and make it aggresive and sporty, more so than the TL. it'll be hard to do that, but YOU CAN DOOOO ITTT!! hehe, it'll seriously complete the lineup and give acura a great competitor to G35C/M3, with a slightly tweaked TL powerplant. i think i'm dreaming

I'll be there with my Olympus taking pics and writing an artcle for HAN, so don't worry about it too much

The trick at NYIAS (I've been there every year since 2001), at least for my camera, is to turn contrast up, flash down slightly, and leave the flash on all the time. The lighting SUCKS everywhere but the Crystal Palace in front.

You are dreaming. Honda can't take on the G35 Coupe or the M3 with a FWD coupe. But it can make a really nice FWD luxosport coupe.

ATTESA E-TS only varies the torque split front to rear. It's sort of unique in that it goes from 100% of the torque being sent to the rear, with a maximum of only 50% sent to the front.

ATTESA E-TS PRO adds a rear limited slip differential, which I think *might* be electronically controlled but I'm not sure.

SH-AWD on the other hand, is able to constantly vary the torque split between all four wheels. It can't send all the power to the rears like Nissan's setup, but it continuously varies the front/rear split from 70/30 to 30/70 and anywhere in between. It also can vary the torque split at each axle from 0/100 to 100/0 (left/right), independent of the other axle. So you could have like, a 30/70 torque split front/rear, 100% of the front torque sent to the front right wheel, and 100% of the rear torque sent to the left rear wheel, or any other combination in between.
