It also can vary the torque split at each axle from 0/100 to 100/0 (left/right), independent of the other axle. So you could have like, a 30/70 torque split front/rear, 100% of the front torque sent to the front right wheel, and 100% of the rear torque sent to the left rear wheel, or any other combination in between.
Imagine what a traction control system could do with that level of control....

I'm guessing that within the awd brain there are some kind of traction- and yaw-control functions.

I believe that both the ATTESA-ETS and the SH-AWD are some kind of (highly) advanced traction control system. (or at least the ATTESA(Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All))

(and by the way; ATTESA-ETS can also split torque between left and right wheel, both front and rear))

RL J35: 300HP
GS430: 300HP
S-Type 4.2: 294HP
545i: 325HP
E500: 302HP

The RL compares VERY favorably in terms of power numbers. So much different than the old one.

That's against the V8's which are priced waaaaaaaaay more than the RL. Nice.

I don't agree that the M45 even competes in this class, at least not the current one. They only sell a pittance, and it's been very unpopular so far. We'll see if the next one is any better in terms of sales, but the current M45 is a disaster.

As we know, it was 345 horses
I also left out the STS V8...what's that, 320?

BTW, TOV is reporting that the production will use 245/50/R17 tires. That's some serious meat! I was hoping for 18's, but I guess that doesn't leave enough room for expansion. Hopefully the RL A-SPEC will come with 18's (and IMA to boost power to 340 )
