Hey,
My buddy got an 03 cbr 600rr. is one of the headlights only supposed to come on? and the other for the high beam? I find that kinda stupid, especially from Honda.
Is there any easy way to convert it over to like a regular car, and have both the lights on for low and high beams?

You probably have an h-7 bulb on each side which is a single filament. One for low and the other for high. My old 2001 Gizzer was like that. The only way for both to come on is to flip the high beam. If you want to convert it like a car , you will need to modify it to take an h-4 bulb. Search for some motorcycle forums catering to Honda motorcycles. I'm pretty sure someone has probably done it.

aiighty, was just wonderin if there was a simple method for him.
It kinda seems like a stupid idea to me.. and looks cheesy. But oh well. I guess if we are bored at work, we'll check it out.

What CPL said, it's most likely an H7 bulb. It's like that on the '01 and up CBR F4i; one side stays on for the lowbeam and the other side is the highbeam. You can try aiming it to get it 'even' with each other or do an H4 conversion.
Check these links out. It's supposed to be for an F4i but I think your buddy might find it useful.

i dont remember exactly what to do, but its something to do with wiring the high beam relay to the low beam relay. if you check out cbrworld, and search, you should find it.
theres a few problems with this though. youmay be able to do a h4 conversion if you want a low and high beam, but that may not even work with what you have to do to the relays. also, im not sure about the rr, but with the f4i, the reflector lense is different for the low and high beam. so even if you do get the job done, the lights are going to be different because the lenses are different. hope this helps.

Ride with both sides on. Hi-beam and all. This way, you won't hear the "one of ur headlight is out" and you'll also be more visible to drivers. It's legal for motorcycles to ride with our hi-beams on anyways around here. So I keep them both on always on my RR.
