Default Stolen Bike

My CBR600RR was stolen.

i'm going to miss it. no, i'm not going to buy another bike though.

it's not confirmed, but it's rumored that a guy who I TAUGHT HOW TO RIDE, is responsible for stealing it.

This is shady s#it. it's hard to have nice things, without being hated on. TRUST NO ONE.

that's f*cking horrible bro. I hope it's found and recovered, but if that doesn't happen, I hope they'll get thiers. I would say I hope they crash the sh*t out of it, but that's too nice a thing to hope that it crashes.

I would show up at the guys house who they say stole your bike and see his reaction when you confront him.

be like,....look im hearing you had something to do with the disapperence of my bike. See his reaction.

Why would someone steal a bike for anyway?

That sucks

Were you insured? Anyway, I'm so paranoid that my mc will be stolen. Sportbikes are hot targets for thieves.

yeah, i'm insured. they paid off everything i owed on it (it was financed); and as for my "friend" who is suspected of stealing it:

I'm at another friends house, and he shows up. He acts more friendly than usual. However, we both leave at the same time, and all of a sudden, he has a bunch of modifications done to his bike. He also can't maintain any kind of eye contact with me while I'm out there takling to him.

He used to call me almost every week just to hang out. No calls since this has happened.

When I called him the night my bike was stolen, he didn't sound surprised at all. He told a bunch of other people in the background (we were on the phone) that my bike was stolen. You could hear laughter, but maybe it's because they were all out drinking (or so he says). The night it was stolen, we were at my friends house, and he left early to go drink with some of his other friends. When I finally left my friend's house, it was gone.

Too add insult to injury, I taught this guy how to ride, and I introduced him to my other biker buddies. Furthermore, he had never been to, or heard of twisties before, and I took him there for the first times.

Its not hard to steal a bike. I would suspect him alot to tell you the truth. Or if not him someone he knows. I suggest you watch him closely.

to make this guy a lil' more shady, I was telling him once (a while back ago) that I was going to buy a new car.

He told me, whatever I do, don't sell the Type-R.

Then, after my bike was stolen, I was telling him I was going to take the insurance money, and use it towards a new car. Once again,

He told me, whatever I do, don't sell the Type-R.

Wierd?

well, it's not confirmed he did it. but my feelings are that he did/someone he knows did/he had part in it.

i was parked in a bad area of town (Downey, CA), however, I've been parked in bad areas of town before, with no incident.

the things that make me feel as though he did it are:
1. he didn't sound surprised after i told him it was stolen (i mean even if you're drunk, you'd still find it surprising).
2. he hasn't called me for anything, since it's been stolen.
3. about a week after it was stolen, at a mutual friends house, he saw me and couldn't maintain eye contact. he left after staying for about 10 minutes, and when i left also, noticed his bike is now modified, and all the damaged parts were replaced (I couldn't get a close enough look to see if they were replaced with MY fender parts).

i wish i could prove/disprove it's him. asking him does no good, i mean would u admit to stealing a vehicle if asked? man, this is really hard. i took better care of/and was more knowledgeable of that bike than my car. worst of all, they don't make that specific color any longer, and i had to pay $3000 grand for the year it was owned. it was financed, and the insurance took care of everything left that was owed, however, i'm still $3k in the hole.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF A STOLEN VEHICLE IS PULLED OVER BY THE POLICE, IF IT IS REPORTED AS STOLEN ANYWHERE IN THEIR RECORDS SO THEY KNOW IT'S STOLEN? IS IT BY VIN AND LICENSE?
In the 5 months this guy has been riding, he's been pulled over 4 times.

Anyway, if anyone in So. Cal sees a red CBR600RR with License Plates 16S4344 stop them! Call the cops!
