low idle 95 ls
Thank you for the warm welcome to your site.
I have had my integra for a year now(90-109K)
and have encountered a very low idle problem.
I have cleaned the throttle body, intake, and iac valve
to no productive end. My car idles at 425rpm with no electric load
and at 675 with headlights and full fan.
Tried to adjust idle but when i performed the procedure outlined
in my repair manual(disconnect iac at norm temp, adjust idle screw) the vehicle idled at 75rpm!! and turning the screw would only bring the idle to 500rpm(600 with iac reconnected)
this is the only problem i have with this car, other than this it still performs great. If anyone has any ideas please help me.
Again, Thank you for allowing me to use your site.

i have a 95 ls and my idles just about the same as ures with about the same milage. this happend after i installed a prolite flywheel.Mine idles in the three digit ranges wen at operating temperatures wen I installed a lightweight flywheel.
check for vacumn leak- get a can of Seaform Deep Creep and with engine idling start spraying carefully around vacumn lines, throttle body mounting, intake mounting at head, etc. if you are down in power across the board, have you checked/changed your fuel filter and/or fuel pressure?
well- i doubt the pump itself is actually clogged- they have a pretty good size 'sock' filter on them anymore and it would be VERY difficult to block all of it. besides, bad idle tends to indicate fuel pressure probs- bad running under throttle tends to indicate fuel volume probs. (not always, but generally)
brown eh? ever had any sneaky feelings that the car has been underwater before? anyway, if it is brown, you need to consider a couple of options-
it's possible that the filter has simply been in there a long time and is that dirty.
if it was my car, here is what I would do in order-
1- go ahead and replace your filter again
2- go to NAPA and pick-up a can of SeaFoam. It is a kick-butt cleaner that you can use in the fuel tank and oil. (you only need to worry about fuel tank for now)
3- put in SeaFoam accord to instructions- about 1/3 to 1/2 can on full tank.
4- after that tank is gone, go ahead and change your filter again
5- run a full tank of gas again (no SeaFoam this time)
6- change your filter again.
each time you change filters dump out a small amount into something like a white plastic butter container and look for crap.
if after the second or third change it seems to be running clear and your engine seems to be running good, i'd say you're ok. maybe go ahead and change the filter once a month for another 2-3 months as well as use some Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner every other tank for a month or two just to help.
Now, if the above just seems to keep bringing out crap, I'd seriously consider taking it to a repair shop and having the gas tank pulled and flushed, It will likely cost about $130-$170, but it would be well worth it.
If you do have a bunch of crap in the tank and the filter does manage to plug and you run the motor lean when you just happen to be on the freeway or (not) racing from a light, you could burn things a bit.
hope it helps.

thank you for the help
I have been using marvel mystery oil once every 2000mi.(fuel system cleaner- you probably already know this) that might explain why my filter was so dirty, is the mystery oil bad for my car?
And yes its all the time, and i have suspected the iac
