i wished i could put my finger on what these people were called because i am sure they have a website that has all of this stuff on it. they arent just some back yard made chips they have a whole line up of cars. they drove a 18 wheeler to the track and unloaded the cars from it. they dont just stick the chip in and run it the chip it and tune it is what they told me. I looked under the hood of the vw but not the audi. all i saw what a plastic looking motor and a turbo. he had stock exhaust, an intake box, nothing shiny under the hood. as far as the audi i cant promise that it was stock besides a chip. he said their chips bumped the boost to 15 or 16 pounds and since they tuned them with the chip in it they wont blow. i did hear a bov though. like i said you dont have to believe it but if i ever find them on the web then you will have no choice but to become a believer. and if you were so big into audi and vw then why dont you know exactly who i am talking about. they are known world wide.http://www.goapr.com/Audi/whyapr/index.html found em no you can believe it.

How did you see the turbo from glancing under the hood? The turbo is hidden under all the black plastic you were looking at. Was the turbo KO3 or K04? Would you be able to visually recognize the difference between the two?

How does something shiny under the hood signify a performance mod?

Then you go on to say you did hear a BOV. A blow off valve may sound cool but it doesn't provide you with more horsepower. Maybe a DV is what you're referring to?

Yes, APR is a big player in the chip wars. They make one of the best chips with upgradeable software. But where on their site does it mention cars running 13's with just an APR chip? So what am I supposed to believe? Until you can prove to me that a MK4, A4, or TT can turn 13 seconds in the quarter mile with JUST a chip upgrade, I'm sorry, I do not believe you. That's my point with all this, bro. I'm not trying to pick an argument here, but it seems to me that you are misinformed about quarter mile times and chipped 1.8T's. I was only trying to set it straight.

 

Why? You could learn a thing or two. There's nothing wrong with learning about more then one type of auto make. Hence, the reason why I'm here.

 

ummm i have a friend w/ a completely stock 2003 GTI (1.8T) and he ran a 15.1 at the track. he's not that experienced either. i think your friend should be doing better. just my opinion though

 

lol yeah you should dip in the arguement becuase you would learn from him not me lol. im only big on honda acura and gm. anyhow i said that when i looked under the hood of the vw there was a black plast thing over the whole engine and a shiny vw emblem or something like that on top of it. and he pointed out the turbo cause i didnt think it had a turbo. this is before i heard it run. and a bov makes for more buffer room and therefore more boost is able to be run. hence it was running like 15 psi with the chip. and it said on the web site that it was turning like 240horses so if you dont think that a car that light and that small with 240 under its belt so to speak can turn a 13 then you need to realize that it will easily. the audi was in the 380 range or something like that by the web site and arent those models awd cause he didnt spin very much and had a very big jump on a motorcycle that he raced against and got beat by less then a sec. and if you dont know ninjas do run in the 11's. Now i dont really care what you think your buddy will run or know what he runs because he should be lower then that or else he is doing something wrong in his steps to modding that engine and if you would like to argue that a hatch that is basically the size of an ek with 240 horse power either at the crank or the wheels will run a 13 then you can argue that loosing battle all you want. i mean if you really think about it an ek with a type r swap with turn a what with 40 less horse power. i know i have seen one of them turn a low 14 so i am sure that 40 more horse power is gonna put it into the thirteens. i mean shit i have seen 4dr civics run 14's with bolt ones and turbo cams with out a turbo and lower compression with a gs-r swap. he is a member to this board his name is westcoaststyle if you dont really believe that one. in fact he has probably seen these fellas out there. they dont come often but when they do they bring a fleet of cars and this is why they are trailered to the track. two guys and like 6 cars. i dont know dude you can believe what you want to i dont want you to be pursuaded that they can turn lower times then you might think because i am probably wrong. i dont need to argue anymore because i have layed all the proof i need. if this much proof were layed on oj he woulda been caught. you have sources saying that they are capable and an alaby its your choice to eat your carrots to get up from the table.

Honestly dude, after reading this, the only "proof" you give should be used to send you back to second grade. Even if you don't have any real proof or facts backing you up, it wouldn't hurt to have Mr. Grammar on your side. And you're right, if you were the prosecuting lawyer in the O.J. Simpson trial, with solid shit like this, he would be locked up right now. And also, reading that last sentence of yours, makes me want to kill you.

Bad grammar, sure. But It's time for me to put my shoe in my mouth. There are two 1.8T's in that list with just a single chip upgrade breaking into the high 13's.
