front end is shaking!!!!help!!
i just got my gsr in january and the car kinda pulled to the right abit and the front wheels kinda shake or wobble when i goto stop somtimes. it is really bad when im slowing down from a high speed. i dont have alot of money to just start guessing a fixing things just to find out that it wasnt the problem........does anyone have any ideas?? please help!!
That kind of thing can happen when your front two wheels are either out of balance or havenn't been screwed on right. Take them off and tighten them in the star formation and try again, or switch them and do the same thing. No biggie
i guess when i bought the car i was so happy to get it that i never even noticed it was doing that. since its been past the 30 days i cant take it to the dealer.....not to mention the dealer was like 2 hrs from my house. i will get the alighnment done this week.....thanks

Anyways, replacing them is not that hard. I do use an impact wrench so it makes it easier, otherwise, be prepared for labor and smart thinking.
Get the car up in the air and wheels off, then remove the lower bolt on the caliper. Swing up the caliper, remove the brake pads. Remove the dust shield, and then the other (believe there's only 1 more) bolt that holds the caliper onto the hub. Suspend from spring with regular wire hanger. DO NOT LET THE CALIPER JUST HANG. You'll tear your brake lines up.
Now you're ready for the rotor to come off. This is where I use my impact wrench because I don't want to strip the screws. There are two on the rotor hat that hold it to the rest of the wheel assembly. Those must be unscrewed, but PLEASE do not strip them. You'll have a heck of a time getting them off. I use my impact wrench and a special piece that bolts on like a socket, but has a phillips head screw driver attached.
Those come off and then your rotor comes right off. Replace, and complete steps in reverse to get everything back together!

Hope it helps.
