Rotors are CHEAP!!! For our purposes, go to Autozone and buy the cheapest brand they have. Forget about all the hype over cross-drilled and slotted rotors. I think I paid $40 for all rotors, plus they come with a warrenty. If you run your rotors into the ground, take them back for new ones.
Anyways, replacing them is not that hard. I do use an impact wrench so it makes it easier, otherwise, be prepared for labor and smart thinking.
Get the car up in the air and wheels off, then remove the lower bolt on the caliper. Swing up the caliper, remove the brake pads. Remove the dust shield, and then the other (believe there's only 1 more) bolt that holds the caliper onto the hub. Suspend from spring with regular wire hanger. DO NOT LET THE CALIPER JUST HANG. You'll tear your brake lines up.
Now you're ready for the rotor to come off. This is where I use my impact wrench because I don't want to strip the screws. There are two on the rotor hat that hold it to the rest of the wheel assembly. Those must be unscrewed, but PLEASE do not strip them. You'll have a heck of a time getting them off. I use my impact wrench and a special piece that bolts on like a socket, but has a phillips head screw driver attached.
Those come off and then your rotor comes right off. Replace, and complete steps in reverse to get everything back together!
Hope it helps.
