for the icebox......u can either buy just the icebox and use your factory intake tube, or u can buy the comptech short ram intake and then use the icebox with that. but with that u are going to pay alot like 170 for the icebox and then another 200 for the short ram intake.

i would just go with just the icebox and use your factory intake tube, sleeper look.

i already had the aem cai, dc sports dac, comptech icebox and now im running the J's. i used the aem cai when my car was all motor, then ran the dc sports short ram for the Jackson Racing supercharger, but i switched to the comptech icebox for the charger, and since now im back to all motor im running the J's and it works for me......

Yeah, I have some pics from the DIY intake install. My camera ran out of battery, but I got the important ones.

I love my injen. Only positive gains noticed. And if you have an ls/gs/rs/se you can buy it beacuse it will not fit on my new gsr motor. I will buy another injen for my gsr when I get the money.

I have the one piece race division on my ls now, I am planning one getting the same one just a gsr version, or buy a used one.

Also, if you can pick up a used one go for it... Not like it makes much of a difference.

I really wanna buy a CAI and I don't know much, but everyone is telling me it is a pretty cost effective way to improve performance a bit. Anything I should look for? Brand?

CAI aren't cost effective because it doesn't improve performance, well at least not by itself. If you buy it by itself then its just a waste of money.

I had my CAI in but I had to take it out because of warranty issues. It was a good thing too because without it I got 60 more miles to the tank. ANd I didn't notice a power loss at all, or any difference for that matter, except for the growl of the intake. THe only thing it does is make your car loud. ANd thats not a good thing when your smoking a blunt at night, and your the only car on the road.
