I actually get better gas mileage now since I installed my V-AFC, 28-31 normally, half city, half highway, stock tires

I get about 26-28mpg with mostly city driving and an auto. When I was driving back and forth to school and doing mostly highway driving I'd get 30-32mpg, and my personal best was 38mpg on a road trip.

205/50-15 tires... with 75% highway, 25% city... and, like i said, i get on average about 30mpg. don't insult me by telling me i can't figure out my own gas milage.

before i put my stereo back in (like 300 lbs) i got almost 40 on the highway with 17" rims, short intake, & FRP, plugs, & wires.
i usually get about 25-30 mpg, just filled today & got 300 on 11 gallons w/ all my crap!
something is wrong if your only getting 20 mpg. they must be runnnig boost or something. i just kicked over 70k today, & the motor has 40 on it. runs sweet
also i run castrol synthetic, noticed a little better gas from that.

I do the math every time, usually around 26-27.5 mpg. I drive it hard.

My LS doesn't have the HP to spare, so my AC stays off.

That would be the easiest way. Just divide that number by the amount of gas you get.

Sorry if it seems like I am insulting you. But there is no way you can average 30 driving like that. It's pretty much impossible. I have seen many integras and the only way they can top 30 is if they drive complete highway. So for you to average 30 you have to get above 30 about half the time. And you can't do that when you drive 25% street. Does that seem like a reasonable assumption to anyone? And 205/50 tires are smaller than stock size so you're indicated mileage is actually higher than you've actually gone. It amounts to about a .5 gallon per mile higher than actual.

Couple things that will affect your gas mileage. Tires - Affect mileage to a degree, tires with higher rolling resistance and larger footprints will lower your mileage.

How you drive - City driving takes your mileage down quite a bit compared to just cruising on the freeway. Driving in town on the gas and brakes alot also lowers your mileage. When I was driving 2 miles back and forth from my old house to my new house my mileage for that tank of gas was 22mpg.

Right now I've got a 95 GSR which I drive very hard on the freeway all the time, and reasonably hard in the city. By hard I mean the 2ndary runners are open in 5th gear on the highway, and in the city I typically drive 20mph over the speed limit, never getting into the higher RPM's >6k or so. This type of driving usually nets me 25mpg for each tank. The car is tuned properly and the timing and all that crap are set to stock.

Best mileage I've ever taken down was all highway driving to LA on hwy 101 at 120mph. Pulled in 29.8 mpg. I've personally never seen my car get better than 27mpg in the normal day to day driving unless its pure freeway.

My advice is if your counting your pennies just to be able to afford to drive an integra then you need to either make more money or get a cheaper car because you are definalty living pay check to pay check and that is bs. If anything comes up then you won't be able to afford it and lose the car anyway. Gas really isn't that much money (150$ a month for me) so if your worried about that I wonder if you can get the car you want you know what i mean?

I've only had my '99 Integra GS for a couple of weeks, but here's the MPG following the first few fill-ups:

26.07
28.62
24.06
30.28 (entirely highway mileage, 80+ mph)
29.44

I think once I get used to the car and stay off the throttle, that I'll consistently get around 27-28 combined MPG. Most of my driving is on rural highways, not city driving.

The mileage isn't as good as my '97 Civic, but the car is much more fun to drive.

29.37
32.73
28.44
34.59
33.98
33.66
32.33
29.77
28.07
30.41 (last fill-up the week before I traded it in)
