PCV valve & hose replacement help
I have a 97 GSR. When recently trying to replace the PCV valve I found that the connecting hose was seized on to the valve. I tried to replace both the valve and the hose, but ran into problems because the hose was seized onto the engine. I couldn't access the hose with more than one hand from either the top or bottom of the engine and you need 2 to do the job.
My question, anybody out there done this before? What is the best way to replace this hose/valve combination? What other engine components can be moved easily to access this part of the engine?
Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, I ended up temporarily using some barbed fittings as a coupler to connect the old hose to some new hose and then into the new PCV valve to keep me going. But that old hose needs to go.
