Default PCV valve replacement

ive never done any work on my PCV valves and im kindof curious as to how often i need to have it replaced on my 95 civic ex? i go to valvoline for an oil change and they always ask me if i want it serviced. im about to hit 104K, do i need it replaced?

The PCV valve is just a little plastic valve located on your intake manifold. To find it follow the rubber hose that comes off your valve cover, on the other end is your PCV valve. It should pop right out. To see if it needs to be replaced shake it. If it rattles it's still good, if it doesn't rattle it's clogged and needs to be replaced. Cost $10 or less at the dealer.

on a 95 civic it doesn't touch the valve cover.. its on the intake manifold right behind the valve cover on the driver side of the manifold...

check it every so often. if you take it out.. and you hear something knocking around inside. its still good. if you don't, replace it. its only $3 so not that bad
