Default A Quick Upper?

I was just wondering.

i have a 2001 GSR, with CAI/IM/H/E, And i was just wondering whats the next best thing for my ride. I was thinking i could finish the bolt ons, u know a throttle body or high flow cat. But i was really looking for something where i'll will be able to feel a difference. I'm looking at the price range of around 200 to 300, 300 being the max though. if u guys are thinking internals, give some suggestios about long term or short what will it do to my car?

thanks

as oc_civic would say...
nitrous oxide injection

best bang for your buck.
just expand that budget a little bit.

get that supercharger for $69! :fawk:

nah, the other power maker would be to save up for a turbo kit...but that's nowhere near $300. i guess it's time to start saving some cash!

i would save up for the turbo unless nitrous is the path you'd prefer.

cams are around $600. i would get a bigger rear sway bar.

you didnt say you wanted a power add on, and you will notice a difference with the sway bar.

yeah like a 22mm instead of the stock 14 right, that would be nice. Do u think i will feel a difference if i do get a high flow cat or a throttle body?

Your stock cat is a big-time restriction. Considering you spent all that money on the I/H/E + IM, I would suggest switching out the stock cat for a hi-flow piece.

There's an eternal debate as to whether Carsound or Random Technology is the better hi-flow cat, so I can't recommend one over the other. I have seen more issues with the Random piece though.

There's not much you can do for 300, but for a little more you can look at getting some itr cams, and skunk2 springs and retainers....... Thatwill increase your midrange as well as get you more power up top, past your current 8200 rpm redline.

Just curious vteg01, with your current setup ( IM, CAI, Exhaust, Header), have you noticed a significant improvement over stock ?

Yeah, but they're not going to add much power with the restriction posed by his stock cat; a hi-flow cat usually costs less than $200.
