The GSR engine is perfectly capable of making good power. Will you be happy with 300->400whp? Once again, there's only so much power you can harness with your 2 front wheels, and with currently available modifications the gsr motor can easily exceed this limit. You said your car is in mint condition so I would hold off on a motor swap...people blow their engines all the time

lol..............I'm going to put it in the words of the Magazine IMPORT TUNER............ "170 hp is mere pocket change compared to what the b18c1 is capable of producing....." Now take those words and run with them !

Yea the GSR motor is a really good platform to build upon. Whether you want to go forced induction or all motor, I think you'll be happy.

As far as turbo's go, you can run about 8 to 9psi until your rods go out. Anything more, will need some internal mods. Like a Drag3 kit will produce around 250whp. I'm sure some of the other guys on the board can help you a bit more.....

Good luck!

Engine internals don't mean sh!t if you don't have careful fuel management. You can run 12 psi on stock internals with proper fuel management.

This looks like a textbook case of wanting to make big power before understanding how the car works. The usual conclusion to this scenario is a blown up motor.

To quote Mos Def: "We gonna slow it down so we can speed it up."

Read up on how all this stuff does what it does before you throw down a wad of cash and blow up your motor. You'll thank me later.
