Not today.

No USDM preludes were sold with a LSD. The ATTS system in the Type-SH is not a LSD.

First a brief history:

The Prelude TypeS was sold from 1996-2000 in Japan has ATTS. It is rated at 220ps. The block and tranny are the same as the US TypeSH. They have the exact same gear ratios as all US 5th gen manuals. Block is stamped "H22A". No one makes an LSD to reapce the ATTS system in the ATTS-equipped tranny.

The Prelude S-Spec was sold from 199?-2000 in Japan. It is also rated at 220ps. It uses a block and tranny identical to the US Base manual model. Again, it has the same gear ratios as the US got. But the S-Spec tranny has an LSD instead of the open diff we got in the US. The S-spec model is a VERY rare bird. There were not many TypeS's sold in Japan, and even fewer S-Spec models. The block is ALSO stamped "H22A", like all other JDM H22As.

To find a H22a with a LSD you would have to get this JDM S-Spec version of the H22a. However:

1) Good luck finding one. The Prelude was an unpopular car in Japan. The S-Spec was the rarest version only produced in MY 99 and 00 I belive.
2) If you find someone who claims to be selling an "S-spec" changeover swap, How will you identify it to be sure you are not getting ripped off with a normal 200HP H22A with LSD? The S-Spec, like the TypeS, had a red valve cover, but that is simple enough to change... And the block stamping is just "H22A" like all other "regular" H22As...

Go ahead and buy it then...but I guarantee that particular engine doesn't have 220 hp

Read my post then try finding a 220 hp H22a with LSD.

H22A comes with a hydrolic tranny and L S D!!!!!
High Revs!!!
I am basing my response off your post above. As much as I love a good discussion I don't think the mods appreciate our little sparring, so I'll leave it to you to recommend the original poster to buy a 99+ non-ATTS base H22a then swap in the older H22a transmission with LSD from the 92-96 models, if that's even possible (?)

The part about your post that caught my attention was the suggestion that a 220 hp H22a came with a LSD, and I personally thought it was too rare to be feasible. But if you have sources, then perhaps they aren't all that rare. I'm waiting to see if a moderator comes in and clears this issue up.

*edit*
