Underbody paint (subframe)...
Hey guys,
I've finally found a welder and getting around to having my subframe tearout repaired. He'll reweld/patch the split seams around the sway bar mount points, then grind/smooth out the surface. But before mounting the ASR brace and sway bar, I'd like to have that area painted (to avoid rust) but wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions on the type of paint to use (rust prevention, paint durability, color match, etc.).
It'd be awesome if someone knows where I can get the paint Honda uses.
Thanks,
A-dub

Understood, but any brand I should be looking for (Rustoleum, etc.)? I know it seems like the question has been answered, but I don't want to end up with low quality paint that'll start chipping/flaking off after.
Thanks, guys.
Thanks, guys.
i think that a company called SEM makes a specific underbody spray. its popular with the prosumer crowd.
post pics of the tear out - its rarely photographed.
