The only reasons I can think of to not put 195-50's on the ITR is because of the slightly different rolling radius that alters the speedometer, and the fact that some 195-50's have a load rating that's lower than what's recommended by Honda/Acura for the ITR.

205-50's are so cheap that I have never understood why some people go for the smaller size.

Some people might also look at this as an advantage (the smaller diameter, not the speedometer error), since it's basically like getting new tires plus a free JDM FD without the installation labor.

sometimes people go with 205/50 up front and 195s in the rear, i think this is more for a neutral type of handling for more "grip" driving.

Crap i just got my R and it has 195's on it... And they have full tread.. So i guess i need to burn them down for a pair of Azenis.. I ran my d mod crx on a set all last year and the dam tire did so well that i use the same set as rain tires this year.
